DIVER RESCUE TRAINING
SUNDAY 3rd FEBRUARY
Today we were Training for the event of a Diver in Distress.
As you can see we had a very brave volunteer who happens to be our training officer too. It was very cold and foggy but he was the only sucker we could find for the mission.
The task was to learn how to safely remove the diving gear whilst in the water without causing any extra distress to the casualty.
The hardest part of the day was getting the diver into the water.
Whilst in the water we also learnt how to safely do CPR on the casualty.
We also had to get the casualty to the beach safely.
