Sunday 22nd November 2009

While the crew where out on a normal Sunday training exercise, Yarmouth Coastguard directed to boat to assist in the search of a vulnerable person. In conjunction with Hemsby ILB and Haisborough Coastguard the crew searched the coastline from Waxham to Winterton for nearly three hours before being informed by Yarmouth Coastguard that the person had been found safe and well. Boat returned safely @ 1354hrs.

Wednesday 11th November 2009

Crew paged @ 1630hrs, to look for a missing male. The boat was stood down when at the waters edge.

Tuesday 1st September 2009

Crew paged @ 1435hrs, to assist stationary Fishing boat near reef 5, after call from a visitor on the beach, upon the lifeboat arriving on scene, the fishing boat was in fact drift fishing! Boat returned safely @ 1445hrs.

Tuesday 18th August 2009

Crew paged @ 1250hrs, to assist a broken down Jet Ski with 3 persons onboard. Crew arrived to find a Father and his two sons drifting towards reef 3. The two boys where transferred to the lifeboat and the Jet Ski with the father on board where towed back to the beach. Boat returned safely @1324hrs.

Tuesday 11th August 2009

While the crew where out on a normal Tuesday night training session, two young boys where seen climbing about on reef 4, but they had been cut off from the spit by the incoming tide, the boat crew recovered the two boys from the reef and returned them to shore, after being disembarked, they ran away without leaving their details.

Crew: Paul Dale – Helm, Lesley Bellerby – No.2, Jason Lawson – No.3.

As the crew where washing the boat down, the pagers went off and the boat was again launched at 1138hrs, this time to assist the owner of a speedboat that had broken down and was in danger of drifting on to the reef. The speedboat was taken in tow and recovered to the beach. Boat returned safely @ 1200hrs.

Tuesday 28th July 2009

Crew paged @1035hrs, to assist two teenage boys in a small inflatable dingy drifting approx 1nm off Waxham beach, due to an off shore wind. The call was made from a visitor on the beach. Both boys were safely returned to the beach and the dangers explained to them. Boat returned safely @1056hrs

Crew paged @ 1210hrs, to assist Blind jet skier, who had fallen from his machine. Stood down with boat at waters edge as casualty was safe and well at 1217hrs
